Exeter slipped to 7th place after their 0-0 draw at Fleetwood and play host to league leaders Gillingham at St James’ Park.
The grecians home form hasn’t matched their great away form this season although more recently they have only lost 1 in 6 at home. They have drawn blanks in front of goal in their last 2 fixtures so players of the calibre of Cureton will be desperate to register.
Gillingham have the best away record in the division and returned to winning ways against Plymouth. They are 5 points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand. Martin Allen seems to have built a side adept to the style of the division. They have gained a reputation for being big, strong and aggressive with a threat from the the long throw, a formula that seems to be working a treat in League 2. Chris Whelpdale is an injury doubt for the game.
Both teams have an abundance of attacking threat but Gillingham are consistent and will want to take something from a tricky long midweek trip.
