Oxford United look to have returned to their early season form after consecutively beating 1st and 2nd place; Gillingham and Port Vale respectively, in their last 2 games. They have won 3 of their last 4 games and Alfie Potter who has scored in their last 2, will look to keep his run going. Oxford’s poor mid season performances means a playoff place now looks to be out of the question. However with relatively little pressure that is now on the players in a mid-table position- who seemed to buckle under the early season promotion hype- may see them play their better football.
Rotherham United have managed to salvage 2 points from their last 2 games with late goals in both. They sit in 7th place but are still only 2 points behind third placed Burton Albion so it’s very much game on for Steve Evans men. They are unbeaten in 5, and have only lost 1 of their last 6 on the road.
