Southampton v Leicester

Many have been waiting for Southampton to start to drop off but after ten games they are still going strong and manager Ronald Koeman has a fit squad from which to select. With a mean defence and strikers in form they have struck the perfect balance and there doesn’t appear to be a reason why this week will see a change of fortune.

Leicester are winless in five matches and have lost four of those. After a promising start they look to be on a downwards curve. Leonardo Ulloa’s goal against Stoke City is the only time they have scored on their travels this season in the league but his goals have dried up and they face a watertight Southampton defence that has only conceded five goals in ten games and only once on their home ground at St Mary’s.

West Ham United v Aston Villa

Big Sam Allerdyce is finally in the good books of the Upton Park faithful after an impressive run of results which has seen them climb to fifth in the Premier league table. They have only’ lost once in their last six matches and have claimed notable victories over both Liverpool and Manchester City.

Aston Villa meanwhile are in terrible form having lost their last six games on the spin and even worse have only managed to score one solitary goal on that period. They will also be without key striker Christian Benteke who serves his suspension after being sent off in his last match against Tottenham.

Brighton v Blackburn Rovers

After a less than impressive start to the season Blackburn Rovers are climbing the championship league table. They are unbeaten in their last six matches and welcome back a host of players including the influential Ben Marshall back into the matchday squad.

Brighton finally arrested their eight game winless run with a win over Wigan in their last outing. They have won just two games in eight at the AMEX this season and have struggled to put decent back to back results together there won’t be too many punters placing confidence in the seagulls at the moment.
