We’ve been out and about in the lower echelons of the Football League again and think we’ve scouted another potentially good prospect in Bobby Reid.
The 21 year old hasn’t been able to break into the ranks of the Bristol City first team with the players in Steve Coterill’s side performing so well of late. They have largely dominated in League One so far this season so it is unsurprising to see the youngsters chances of first team football diminish. After relatively short and uneventful loan stints at Oldham and Cheltenham, Bobby Reid is now starting to establish a foothold as a senior professional by immediately making an impact for Plymouth Argyle where he has been sent back to for a second spell this campaign.
He is the only forward thinking creative spark in the Plymouth Argyle midfield which largely consists of defensive minded players and his driving runs and forward passes have been key in Plymouth’s recent run of decent form in November. He possesses a decent turn of pace with the ball at his feet but he tends to fade in the second half slightly and could do with some added strength endurance conditioning in order to maintain his performance levels for the full 90.
Bobby Armani reid may have quality in his name, but is he now starting to produce it on the pitch? He is another lower league youngster to watch out for and officially scouted by Stakeside.
